The Blueprint Challenge
One real engineering problem, every two weeks. Not a puzzle, not a quiz. The kind of work that decides whether a system holds up in production. Build it or design it, then defend your reasoning.
Loading the live cycle
Two ways to enter
You do not need to be a strong coder to compete. Architecture thinking counts just as much as shipped code, so pick the track that stretches you.
Build Track
Ship a working implementation of the feature, then explain your approach and the trade-offs you accepted.
Repository link plus written reasoning
Design Track
No code required. Write how you would architect the feature at scale, with your reasoning, trade-offs and key decisions.
Written architecture plus optional diagram
How a cycle runs
A problem drops
Every two weeks we publish one real engineering problem, drawn from the kind of work that actually happens in production teams.
You pick a track
Build it in code, or design it on paper. Both tracks are judged on the same thing: the quality of your reasoning.
Senior engineers review
Reviewers from real engineering teams read your submission and leave written feedback on your decisions and trade-offs.
Winners get published
Standout submissions are published with your name on them, so your thinking becomes part of your public record.
Anyone can enter. Not everyone will finish.
The Blueprint Challenge is free and open to every LytQuester. Academy alumni carry a verified badge, but the leaderboard is earned, never assigned.
